Athens, Greece Email: pavlos27@hol.gr Pavlos Avouris was born in 1965 in Athens, Greece. He graduated from Athens College in 1984. He studied 'Sound Engineering' in Athens (a 3-year course) and attended a brief intensive course on 'multi-track recording' at the Gateway School of Recording and Music Technology in London, UK. As a sound engineer, he was employed by SKY Radio, Athens for 9 consecutive years. He also collaborated with the dance-theatre group 'Edafos' in three projects, including 'Medea', a performance that travelled in many countries and earned national and international acclaim. He was part of the 'INFO' team, who introduced the ISBN system in Greece. He published two fanzines at an early age and later co-published 'Kontrosol Sto Chaos' magazine (1986-92), along with film director Alexis Bisticas (1964-1995) and painter/choreographer Dimitri Papaioannou (b. 1964), who co-ordinated the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Athens Olympic Games. From 2002 onwards, he works as a translator/editor on various books and magazines. He still lives in Athens. Interests: Music, Films
