Sasha Huttunen

The writing career of Huttunen contains mostly voluntary, non-fiction work in the field of sports journalism. He worked as a reporter and columnist for Blues Hockey Oy media outlets from 2003 to 2006. The past two years he has worked as an editor-in-chief for the local quarterly sports magazine Fan News and as a journalist for the Finland’s most popular online sports newspaper Jatkoaika.
In 2007 Huttunen released a non-fiction book, written in English, about the 1999 Columbine High School shooting and the culture of school shootings. In the book he interviews several persons affected by the Columbine tragedy and searches for possible solutions to end the shootings. The book, entitled A Lasting Impression – The Impact of Columbine (Lulu Press, 2007) is currently out of stock as Huttunen is writing a second edition due to the recent news in the field of school shootings. The book will be back for public later in 2008.
Huttunen currently lives in Espoo, Finland. He graduated from high school in 2007.
